JOB DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate, a professional with experience in transport and logistics unit, will report to the overseeing Director to ensure that Service Level, Cost, Quantity and
Optimization is delivered inline with the company’s objective.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Achieve carriage Savings target through distribution, Load, Network, yard and other Optimization Best practices deployment as above
Establishment sustainable 3rd party Logistics Haulage Management scheme thriving on Systems processes and Reliability
Attain and maintain effective Service Level attainment (on time delivery) as above
Select, develop, execute and deploy competent 3rd party hauliers to bridge the delivery service gaps between our Dcs and Delivery point (i.e, Depots, RDCs and Customers)
Establish or monitor specific supply chain based performance measurement systems
Create policies or procedures for logistics activities.
implement specific customer requirements, such as internal reporting or customized transportation metrics.
Participate in carrier management processes, such as selection, qualification, or performance evaluation.
Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.
Negotiate transportation rates or services.
Recommend purchase of new or improved technology, such as automated systems.
Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios.
Audit transport operation for QHSSE and compliance, inspects all loading and offloading sites (including Active Distributors)
Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting or shipping.

REQUIREMENTS
Relevant degree in any discipline – MBA or MSC in Transport Management or Supply Chain will be an added advantage.
10 – 14 years working experience in handling logistics for or in an FMCG environment.
Experience managing 3PL transport service providers for an FMCG
Willing to travel extensively.
Exceptional relationship management with extensive customer interaction.
Effective written, oral presentation skills.
Good knowledge of logistics management
Excellent business planning and organizing skills
