Attached to the QEHS Manager, locally and regionally, the EHS Manager will be managing workplace risks and ensure a healthy and safe environment for employees, contractors and visitors
He will develop health and safety principles and focus on the elimination of those prioritized risks and practices that lead to injury and illness
As a leader, he will roll our Health and Safety principles in liaison with the MATS community, but also instruct, educate and train various departments

Assisted by is team, he will conduct regular audits and reports unsafe acts and behaviours, promoting a year free accident culture, and continuous improvement. The safety performance will be revied on a monthly basis.
Uploading regulary the risks/hazards analysis reports reports on a weekly basis, coordinating actions and communications at all levels, he will identify, assess and eliminate those risks
The incidents database highlighting key metrics will have to be reported timely
Based on approved hygiene/haccp programs, he will also follow up and execute the plan to maintain best standards and codes of practices in the plant
Last, but not the least, he will also implement an Environment Management Syste, based on recognized international Statendards in our facilities (Lagps/Warri)
PERSONNEL PROFILE:
Leadership, communication and good computer skills
Must be able to manage a team of 20 people minimum
Knowledge of safety and quality syytems (HACCP, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001) - Safety systems (ISO 22000)
Risks assessment, hazards analysis experience
Capable of knowledge transfer
PERSONNEL ATTITUDE:
Result oriented – Can Do attitude – Proactive
QUALIFICATIONS EXPECTED:
HND/BSC Engineering or any other related field
Working experience in a flour mill or in a grains process facility would be better
Matured male or female who has a deep knowledge in HR, Industrial Relations and Nigeria Labour Law. The Human Capital functions of staffing composition, benefits, performance management, health and safety training and development and industrial relatins
PERSONAL PROFILE:
Should have can do attitude
Proactive and not reactive
Good communication skills

QUALIFICATION: BS/BSC or LLB Membership of CIPM will be an added advantage
EXPERIENCE:
At least 5yrs working experience in a manufacturing company. Preference shall be given to a candidate from a flour mill or noodles business

Good knowledge/Hnads on experience as MILLER in a reputable flour mill. They are expected to perform the following functions among other
Coordinate production start-upsl, shut down and change overs
Responsible to meet shift production goals
Operate within SOP and ensure a clean and safe work area
Transfer wheat from wheat silo. Make sure that correct wheat is transferred to right destination in required quantity and take physical measurement as per instruction given. Check the quality of the wheat while transferring

Take every two hour sample from control shifters and packing lines and check for quality defects (smell, bran and semolina in the flour). Take immediate actions after discussing with Shift Miller/Head Miller if there are defects
Every shift checks all machines for good operation conditions
Complete shift report work and update all cleaning records
Coordinate and organize all maintenance work with mechanics and electricians
Monitor the packaging and warehouse operations

- POSITION: ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH & SAFETY (EHS) MANAGER
